WILLIAM GEDNEY: “BROOKLYN” (1967)

William Gedney, largely unknown in art world, outside of a few colleagues and curators, including John Szarkowski, Lee Friedlander, and Diane Arbus, died in 1989 at the age of fifty-six. He left behind a lifetime of work including these street photographs from outside his Brooklyn apartment.
